Physiatrist – James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital (Tampa, FL)

The James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital (JAHVH) in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a full-time Physiatrist (PM&R Physician) to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to practice in one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive VA facilities, delivering expert rehabilitation care to America’s Veterans.

Position Highlights

Provide expert-level clinical care in PM&R evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment , including use of telehealth modalities when appropriate.

Care for a wide range of general rehabilitation populations and provide consultative expertise to professional staff within JAHVH as well as community providers.

Opportunities to contribute in multiple specialty rehabilitation clinics, including :

Electrodiagnostic (EMG) Clinic

Rehabilitation Oncology Clinic

Amputation Clinic

Function independently as a member of the James A. Haley Medical Staff with full clinical privileges.

Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, Veteran-centered rehabilitation care.

Academic opportunities with the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine , including resident / fellow teaching and research involvement.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified candidates are not available).

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State or Territory.

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) .

Prior experience in oncology rehabilitation, amputee care, or EMG is highly desirable but not required.
