Position Summary
The Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University (FIU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Hospitality Analytics , beginning in Fall 2026.
The successful candidate will join a globally recognized hospitality school and contribute to the Chaplin School’s mission of integrating analytics, innovation, and industry collaboration into hospitality education and research. They will play a key role in ensuring our students are prepared for the modern industry by focusing on hospitality analytics , a specialized field that includes market studies, event impact assessments, economic analyses, and feasibility studies. Unlike general data analysis, which typically focuses on optimization and forecasting, hospitality analytics requires a nuanced understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for real-world decision-making. The individual will be expected to conduct high-impact, industry-relevant research; partner with hospitality and tourism organizations to address pressing challenges; publish in peer-reviewed journals; teach engaging and meaningful courses; and provide service to the School, the University, and the broader academic community.
