Job description

About the Role :

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with strong job costing experience to join a dynamic and growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience managing multiple projects or cost centers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process high-volume invoices and ensure accurate coding to the correct jobs, cost centers, and GL accounts
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain organized records of vendor files, contracts, and W-9s
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH payments
  • Assist with month-end close, accruals, and AP reporting
  • Collaborate with project managers, accounting staff, and vendors to ensure correct job cost allocations
  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong job costing background - construction, property management, or project-based industries preferred
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (such as Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, QuickBooks, or NetSuite)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
