Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary The TV Production ¿ Radio Technician provides technical support for both in-studio and remote television productions, special projects, and community outreach initiatives. Responsibilities include operating, setting up, and maintaining television production equipment, assisting with video editing tasks, and preparing studio environments for meetings, events, and broadcasts.This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a foundational knowledge of video production and editing who are eager to gain hands-on experience and develop their technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.Responsibilities Transport, set up, and operate television production equipment for studio and field productions.Assist with video editing and coordinate staging for productions.Prepare studios by setting up requested equipment and arranging sets for meetings and events.Perform video logging, create timecode window dubs, and prepare library materials for use.Position and adjust lighting to meet production requirements.Operate audio boards, tape machines, and microphones to ensure high-quality sound.Complete maintenance reports for production equipment and assist with repairs.Edit online and offline video content as needed.Produce and edit short segments and spots for broadcast.Supervise student workers and advise Mass Communication faculty on proper equipment use.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications Associate¿s degree in Communications or related field with up to one year of experience in video / audio production.Must have a valid driver¿s license, knowledge of professional production equipment, and 6¿12 months¿ experience with editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition), digital workstations, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Mac OS, Photoshop, and programming automation systems preferred.Preferred Qualifications A bachelor¿s degree in Communications or a related field is required. Preferred qualifications include a strong working knowledge of audio and video streaming technologies, along with a thorough understanding of editing, encoding, and digitization processes.Candidates should demonstrate effective time management, organizational skills, critical thinking, and sound decision-making to produce high-quality video and audio content. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.Proposed Salary Salary will be determined based on the candidate¿s education and relevant experience.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficiency in non-linear video and audio editing software applications.Understanding of audio / visual accessories, including cables, connectors, and converters, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance.Familiarity with professional video cameras, DSLR cameras, and still photography techniques.Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse audiences.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to safely lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment as required for production activitiesContact Information
