The schedule is flexible with options for 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM. The position involves nursing care, staff education, and infection prevention tasks. Responsibilities include implementing policies and procedures related to quality assurance. This will be done using guidelines such as regulations, facility practices, and evidence-based practices. The candidate will gather and analyze data through audits, interviews, and other activities. This is to monitor compliance across all disciplines, departments, and services. Reviews of monthly reports will be conducted to develop performance improvement plans as needed. The nurse will prepare, distribute, and interpret reports and statistical analyses for facility staff. Periodic reports summarizing compliance status with established quality assurance goals will be prepared. Assisting supervisors and managers in developing corrective action plans is required. Monitoring and reporting on plans for correcting deficiencies identified by survey agencies is essential. The nurse will ensure compliance with state, federal, and applicable regulations. Involvement in investigating incidents of non-compliance, abuse, neglect, and mistreatment is necessary. Coordination of facility preparation for surveys will be part of the role. Internal Quality Assurance Committee meetings, as well as Infection Control Committee meetings, will be chaired. Identifying training needs and developing educational programs related to quality assurance is key. The nurse will evaluate the quality of training and ensure staff are adequately trained. Maintaining records documenting training and compliance with regulations is required. Provision of information for regulatory surveyors will be coordinated with facility management. Conducting infection control surveillance rounds to ensure compliance with care plans is necessary. The candidate should remain informed on current information and attend educational opportunities. Knowledge of management principles, quality assurance methods, and nursing home regulations is important. Verbal and written communication skills along with analytical problem-solving abilities are required. Ability to analyze and interpret information, work with various organizational levels, and coordinate training programs is essential.
