Overview
Job Summary : The Controller - BCRI works along-side the Executive Director to analyze, develop, negotiate, and finalize department budgets and contracts along with performing monthly and annual budget reviews for the Baptist Clinical Research Institute. The controller will handle invoicing for both industry and federal entities as well as any private entity (e.g. IRB Invoicing). The Controller keeps updated knowledge of and follows compliance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, Federal and Sponsor regulations and guidelines, BMHCC, and BCRI policies and procedures. The Controller maintains and assures accuracy of all department budgets and billing, invoicing, and tracking of these activities through the CTMS (clinical trials management system). The Controller develops Coverage Analyses, Comprehensive Cost-Time Analyses and develops and implements policies to support internal contracting guidelines and processes. The Controller is also responsible for the financial waterfall, aging report, accounts payable, financial reconciliation in CTMS-VELOS, and month-end close activities. The Controller will work with the Executive Director and other relevant members of BCRI team for budget negotiations for clinical trials and contracts.

3 years of accounting / finance experience and 3 years of contract analysis and contract negotiations

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business.
Knowledge of basic financial principles and compliance standards such as CMS guidelines and anti-kickback statutes and regulations. Ability

terminology. Ability to read and understand clinical
trial protocols. Financial analysis skills, project
management skills and analytical decision making

Masters's degree in Accounting Finance or Business
related field.
