Job Description

This regional medical center, located 1 hour from Asheville and 1 hour 15 minutes to Charlotte, is seeking a board certified / board eligible Hematology / Oncology physician.

Opportunity Overview :

• 98% Outpatient practice
• 1 : 3 Call; Hospitalists facilitate admissions
• All calls are first routed through 24 / 7 oncology nurse’s line
• Never called into hospital
• 8a-5p Monday-Thursday, 1 / 2-day Friday (8a-12p)
• Caseload 13-15 Patients / day
• 2 PA’s on Staff
• 2 Radiation Oncologists
• 2 new linear accelerators
• 24 infusion chairs
• Patient navigators & cancer support groups
• Opportunity for tumor board and cancer committee engagement
• Network with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases
• Option for clinical trials
• Precepting residents available
• Diagnostics Include :
• X-ray, CT
• Ultrasound
• Mammography
• Bone Density
• Nuclear
• Mobile PET & Mamo
• MRI & Breast MRI
