About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - OB / L&D

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Must-Have :

2 years of OB / L&D experience

Active BLS required - must be AHA

Active ACLS required - must be AHA

Active NRP required

Willingness to float to other units as needed

EPIC experience or other EMR system experience

Description :

Care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow.

May serve as the second RN in the Special Care Nursery.

Census varies; average includes 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, and 4 SCN.

Support staff includes a ward clerk, CNAs, Charge Nurse / Circulator, Resource Nurse, and LPN Scrub Nurse without assignments.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 3 for mom / baby couplets, 1 : 5 for GYN / Med-Surge patients, and 1 : 3-4 for pediatrics.

Candidates must badge in and out at the facility.

Scrub color is navy blue.

Individuals must have not worked with the health system within the past six months.

This role requires flexibility to assist in filling schedule vacancies related to staff onboarding and other absences.

Additional preferred certification is PALS.

General job duties include providing care across various settings, including Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics.
