The Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to help us build magical, AI-native products that blend speed, intelligence, and simplicity. You'll work across the stack - from building fast, intuitive interfaces to designing scalable backend infrastructure - and play a key role in defining how our system thinks and feels.

This is a high-impact role collaborating closely with Metal's founders, GTM team, and fellow engineers. You'll ship production code across frontend and backend surfaces, contribute to intelligent agent development, and help shape the core architecture of our platform.

What You'll Do

• Own core parts of the product across both backend and frontend systems
• Design and build scalable backend services with Go, MongoDB, and Vespa
• Implement clean, maintainable UI components using React (Next.js) and Tailwind CSS
• Collaborate with design and product to rapidly prototype new AI-native workflows
• Build and integrate LLM-powered agents into investor workflows
• Work across the stack (FE, API, infra) to deliver seamless, intelligent experiences
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering culture as an early team member
• Drive performance, reliability, and usability across the platform
