Job Title L68 Lead Engineer Job Description Summary Responsible for ensuring the proper, efficient operations and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the assigned facility. Develops and executes maintenance and operational tasks to maximize the lifespan and reliability of all systems. This role often functions as the sole engineer on-site and may include supervising maintenance staff, depending on the building's size and complexity. Job Responsibilities Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and general building maintenance. Supervise maintenance staff when applicable, assign and monitor activities and projects. Perform preventive maintenance, such as changing filters, lubricating motors, replacing lamps and fixtures, inspecting and adjusting belts, and other manufacturer-recommended tasks. Recommend improvements to the preventive maintenance program. Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance procedures. Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and technicians. Manage stock and inventory control. Respond promptly to emergencies and customer concerns. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety practices. Keep management informed through monthly reports. Complete all required safety training and adhere to the dress code. At least 5 years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial setting. Relevant licenses and permits, such as Journeyman or Master Electrician, EPA Section 608 certification, etc. Valid driver’s license with a good record. Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience with HVAC, boilers, pumps, refrigerant systems, and energy management systems. Work Environment & Physical Demands This role involves working in a professional office environment, traveling between properties, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and moving between locations.
