Direct Support Professional Float

A  Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF)  caregiver is a position designed to provide fill in or substitute coverage at any assigned service site and may be scheduled for hours that are vacant due to staff turnover changes in scheduling or staff paid time off. Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin provides services. A DSP Float provides direct support positive direction instruction andassistanceto individuals with mentalintellectual& developmental and physical disabilities. Theultimate goalis to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible whilemaintainingtheir dignity and respect.

What You Get to Do :

• Provide hands-onassistance encouragement mentoring and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort safety and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assistwith daily living tasks such as moving around getting in and out of bed dressing bathing personalhygieneand more.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Build relationships withpersonsserved and teammates.
• Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks games and social events.
• Transportpersonsserved toappointments or other activities outside the home.
• Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
• Document progress milestones and action steps.
