Description
Performs quality diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages, including comprehensive patient preparation and assessment. Maintains a high level of technical knowledge to serve as a resource for physicians, nursing staff, and other personnel as needed. Responsible for operating radiologic equipment, including C-arms and PACS, while adhering to all radiation safety standards. Prepares and screens patients, administers contrast media as required, and maintains accurate documentation to support timely diagnostic results. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program and a minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (surgical experience preferred). Must hold current ARRT and Louisiana State Radiologic Technologist (LSRT) licensure, as well as current BLS certification.
