Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (MD / DO) for a unique in-house + on-call locum tenens assignment in Gatesville, Texas . This opportunity features a low-volume patient census, no procedural duties, and a supportive hospital system where the ED takes point on all initial emergencies and code responses.

This assignment is ideal for local Texas providers looking for consistent block coverage without the demand of high acuity or overnight procedural requirements.

• Location : Gatesville, TX
• Contract Type : Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician
• Facility Type : Community Hospital ED Setting
• Start Date : ASAP – Ongoing
• Coverage Type : 8a–5p Onsite + On-Call After Hours
• EMR System : Cerner
• Boards Accepted : ABEM, AOBEM, FM / IM with ED experience

Position Overview :

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM onsite + on-call after 5 : 00 PM

Provider must remain in-house overnight

Average Daily Census : 8 patients per day

No procedures required

No vents in-house

ED responds to all codes and emergencies before hospitalist

Cerner EMR platform

ED-first protocol for incoming admits

Candidate Requirements :

Active Texas Medical License & Unrestricted DEA

ACLS, ATLS, PALS required

Minimum of 9 hours of trauma-related CMEs / year

ABEM / AOBEM preferred; FM / IM with ED experience accepted
