Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant - Sales Tax & General Accounting

Location : Sioux Falls, SD

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in tax compliance and general accounting? Do you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and collaborating across departments to ensure financial accuracy? If so, Direct Companies has an exciting opportunity for you.

As a Senior Accountant , you'll take ownership of multistate sales and use tax compliance, oversee core accounting functions, and lead a team of AP, AR, and staff accountants. Your work will directly support financial integrity, process excellence, and the continued growth of all Direct Companies divisions.

What We're Looking For

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-track preferred)
• Experience : 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on sales / use tax compliance
• Leadership : Demonstrated experience supervising or leading accounting teams
• Knowledge : Deep understanding of GAAP, multistate tax regulations, and internal controls
• Technical Skills : Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems
• Attributes : High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaboration : Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
