Nurse Practitioner General Pediatrics

Position Highlights - General Pediatrics

• Patient Volume : 20-25 per day
• Care Model : 2-3 providers to one LVN + CMA
• Work Schedule : 1.0 FTE; open to 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Coverage : 1-2 shifts per month
• Duties : All clinic; no on-call or hospital rounding
• Epic Training Required : Outpatient
• Experience Preferred : 1+ years

Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Clinic - Temple West, a department of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple ,is located in our 9,500-square-foot clinic where pediatricians offer comprehensive care for your child from birth through 17 years of age.

Our pediatricians partner with you to provide excellent medical and preventive care for your child's health and well-being. They specialize in the development, health and diseases of newborns, infants, children and adolescents. We are committed to providing your child the best, personalized care, including well-child care, immunizations, coordinator of care for chronic medical conditions and care for mental health issues.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Primary Care is a licensed, certified healthcare provider. They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician's scope of practice.

These providers typically provide care to patients in an internal medicine, family medicine, geriatric or pediatric clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Registered Nurse (RN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) : BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
