Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - PCU Job Details : Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during each shift Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient / family and healthcare team Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment Two years current experience required in 18 bed telemetry / progressive care unit Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment Must be flexible team player accustomed to fast-paced environment Epic EMR experience preferred Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Required certifications : New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS BLS and ACLS must be through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross NIHSS certification preferred Facility : This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit with 18 beds providing telemetry services and intermediate-level patient care.
