Equipment Specialist
You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Executive Department (Code 100) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Responsibilities include coordinating with TRIREFFAC codes and manufacturers / contractors to determine organization equipment needs, availability of equipment for procurement, and other procedures necessary to acquire needed equipment for TRIREFFAC operations. You will provide advice as to the most efficient / effective equipment choice, coordinate technical code procurement data, review and evaluate contractor bids for compliance to solicitations, examine proposed equipment plans and specifications, conduct comparative tests and studies to evaluate equipment operation, act as a liaison to ensure all pressure vessels are inspected on time, manage remedial actions as required to bring pressure vessels within certification standards, and provide acquisition / source selection recommendation / advice to NAVSEA, and other acquisition officials.
Requirements include conditions of employment and qualifications. For GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Your resume must demonstrate experience coordinating with TRIREFFAC codes and manufacturers / contractors to determine organization equipment needs, availability of equipment for procurement, tracking the life of all TRIREFFAC equipment in order to accomplish efficient and cost-effective equipment replacement and facilitate TRIREFFAC operations, planning and providing oversight of the Unfired Pressure Vessel (UPV) program, and working within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for services, equipment, and supplies procurements.
