Job description

3pm-11pm evening PCT Monday-Friday with opportunity to pick up Saturday morning shifts

Purpose

The Patient Care Technician provides supportive care to patients and clerical duties for the unit.

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Care Technician will provide supportive care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients.
  • This employee will place an emphasis on patient and caregiver safety and will perform duties within the scope of their practice.
  • Will assist in PODE entry when time allows. Provides supportive care to patients and clerical duties as assigned. Light housekeeping duties as assigned

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

  • Six months with relevant exposure to patient care.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations.
  • Nursing Assistant experience preferred and hospital experience desirable.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
