Pediatric Emergency Medicine - Sanford Health - Sioux Falls, SD

Sanford USD Medical Center Emergency Department is seeking a BE / BC Pediatric Emergency Medicine Trained Physician, with either board certification in general pediatrics or adult emergency medicine, to join our group.

• Join four Pediatric Emergency Medicine trained physicians
• Level I Verified Adult & Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 47,000+ encounters per year
• Physician coverage doubles and triples throughout the peaks of the day to ensure quality 24 / 7 care
• 15 shifts per month
• Current shift hours are 0800-1600 & 1600-0000
• Opportunity for both clinical and academic work
• Physician will have a dual role in the ED and Pediatric Department in the training / teaching of the residents
• CT scanner located in the ED, 32 individual patient rooms with 3 large trauma bays
• Central Monitoring throughout the entire unit
• AirMed Program has two fixed-wing planes and one helicopter
• Through the support of community philanthropy, construction will begin on a dedicated Peds Emergency Department with 10 patient rooms, including 1 large trauma bay; slated to open late in 2025
