We are currently looking for a Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities
Human Resources
Manage the staffing process, including background checks, onboarding, and orientation
Ensure all job descriptions are current and compliant with applicable employment laws
Assist leadership in addressing employee issues and workplace conflicts
Support performance management and improvement plan development
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and ensure company compliance
Apply company HR policies consistently and fairly
Maintain and update HR systems and processes
Distribute policy updates and maintain the employee handbook
Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll
Process semi-monthly payroll using payroll software
Review and post employee timesheets
Ensure accurate calculation and processing of commissions and bonuses
Assist with annual benefit selection and open enrollment processes
Administer and maintain employee benefits documentation
Manage payroll deductions, tax configurations, and compliance for multiple states
Conduct audits and reconciliations for benefits, vacation accruals, and leave usage
Prepare and submit required payroll-related tax filings
Support development and maintenance of payroll analytics tools
Ensure confidentiality of employee compensation and benefit data
Coordinate with external carriers regarding claims and insurance matters
Perform other HR and payroll duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5 years of experience in Human Resources and Payroll
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable with repetitive tasks and frequent interruptions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience with HRIS / HRMS systems
Solid understanding of employment, labor, and tax laws
Team-oriented with the ability to promote a positive work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Paycor
Experience with Employee Navigator
