We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Brea, California. In this role, you will support daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. Responsibilities :
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoicing and payment tracking.
- Perform accurate data entry for financial transactions and maintain organized records.
- Process invoices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing annual tax filings and supporting documentation.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data.
- Coordinate billing activities and resolve discrepancies with vendors or clients.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare financial statements and reports.
- Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify and correct errors.
- Provide assistance during tax audits and examinations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and billing procedures.
- Experience preparing corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and resolve discrepancies with vendors or clients.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and statement preparation.
- Background in public accounting is preferred, but mixed public / private experience is also acceptable.
