Description :

Service is the delivery of legal documents to a person who has an action pending against them in court. Serving this person notice of a legal proceeding against them is part of our Constitutional rights and is considered due process of law, which means fair treatment through our judicial system. This is a right every citizen is entitled to in the United States. Our main goal in obtaining service is to serve the Defendant as efficiently as possible, within the bounds of the law. As the rules of process service vary per state, there are several different ways to go about obtaining service. The various methods include Certified Restricted mail, a private Process Server company, Constable, or Sheriff.

Job responsibilities :

Facilitating the service process, this includes :

• Managing multiple files based on location, case style and preceding steps. We practice in a total of 9 states and cross train employees in multiple areas.
• Monitoring cases while out for service with Special Process Servers, Sheriffs etc. Frequently includes establishing contacts and maintaining good rapport.
• Direct communication with firm attorneys.
• Ensuring service returns are timely filed prior to hearings.
