Job Description
This geography covers : Miami, Hialeah, Westchester, Coral Gables, Homestead, Key West.
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed those objectives.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Handle objections, concerns and consistently gain logical calls to action to close on every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute call plans that achieve set call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, and share this market intelligence with in‑field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment, anticipate environmental changes and optimize brand strategy and execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers / advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant; or equivalent industry experience.At least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical / health / science industry if a bachelor’s degree is not held; high school diploma / GED required.Proven track record of leadership success and solid presentation skills. Strong business acumen and proficiency use of business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities.Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quickly all aspects of selling approach. Operates effectively in a matrix environment.Preferred : Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas.Preferred : Experience in commercial pharmaceutical industry such as physician / account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.Preferred : Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.Preferred : English proficiency verbally and in writing.Essential HCIR credentialing requirements must be satisfied to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory, including background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization, fingerprinting, and state or city licenses. You are solely responsible for meeting HCIR requirements.Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test; safe driving requirements met.Driving a personal auto or company vehicle, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.Key Stakeholders
External : Specialty Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on brand plan.
Internal : In-field team members, Sales Management (DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, & Brand Plan stakeholders.
