Job Summary :

Provide services to students in order to address language, cognitive-communication, speech and aligned disorders in children at the primary and elementary level. Working with the full team, the speech patholoigist will create and implement a student program and environment, favorable to the learning and personal growth of each student, in assisting them to reach their full potential.

Qualifications :

PEL with Speech Pathologist endorsement

Essential Functions :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

1. Provide speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.

2. Assess student communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment

3. Develop treatment plans, interventions and / or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements

4. Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students

5. Maintain files and / or records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of information as required for reference and / or compliance

6. Perform other duties as assigned
