Job descriptionPartner with executive leadership to develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to inform bid accuracy. Prepare professional proposal packages, bid documents, and client-facing presentations. Track bid results, maintain historical data, and update estimating databases to improve future performance. Interpret complex structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents with precision. Coordinate with engineering and VDC teams to ensure technical requirements are fully addressed. Evaluate and recommend value engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Partner with project managers to ensure smooth handoff and alignment on awarded projects. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and general contractors. Provide technical expertise to support business development efforts and client engagement. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within construction, VDC, or related industries. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor productivity rates. Experience with BIM / VDC tools is a plus. Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams. Position Summary
The Project Estimator plays a critical role in supporting LTC VDC’s mission of delivering accurate, competitive, and timely project estimates. This role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to prepare detailed cost estimates that guide project bids and execution. The Project Estimator works closely with company leadership, the project management teams, and clients to ensure estimates reflect both project scope and value-driven solutions.
