RN Med Surg

The Med / Surg RN coordinates total nursing care for patients admitted to the Med / Surg Unit. Participates in patient and family education. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team in accordance with the philosophy and mission of AMH and the Standards of Nursing Practice. Provides an environment conducive to patient safety and comfort. Demonstrates competence in general nursing skills including pre and post-operative nursing care. The RN will perform an admission assessment and subsequent assessment in a systemized, organized, and timely manner. The Med / Surg RN must demonstrate the knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. The RN will possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients’ status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs. The RN will seek educational resources and creates learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for his or her continuing competence in nursing practice and individual professional growth.

This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus!

Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!

Requirements :

36 hours per week - First Shift

6 : 45 am - 7 : 15 pm

Every Third Weekend

Valid RN license in the State of Indiana

BLS / CPR Certification Required

ACLS and PALS Certifications Required Within 6 Months of Hire
