Your key responsibilities

The Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS) practice is a market leading service covering all segments of the property / casualty and life / health insurance industries. Well look to you to support our Client Engagement teams performing diverse range of actuarial tasks including financial modelling loss reserving financial and regulatory reporting product development and pricing analysis litigation support customer analytics rate setting and other consulting projects. Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in an actuarial science finance or mathematics related field supported by a strong academic record

A strong preference for candidates that have at least 2 actuarial exams passed

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and clients

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint)

Relevant prior internship experience in the actuarial field

Access to reliable transportation to / from the EY office and client sites. A drivers license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when certain circumstances travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Ideally you will have

A purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to innovate adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and / or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.

Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Excel VBA R Python)

Collaborative problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology to positively influence global and domestic business operations.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $88000-$90000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement project or year.
