As a QA Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring our software is robust, scalable, and high-performing before it reaches customers. In addition to standard QA responsibilities : manual testing, bug reporting, and working closely with cross-functional teams; you will drive automation strategies, CI / CD integration, and advanced testing (API, performance, and security).

Role Overview and Responsibilities :

  • Test Planning & Strategy - Develop and refine comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for complex features and integrations. Work directly with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and key metrics for success.
  • Manual & Exploratory Testing (60%) - Conduct deep exploratory testing for new features and complex integrations. Identify, document, and track defects with clarity and precision to ensure timely resolution.
  • Automation (40%) - Design, build, and optimize automated test frameworks using Cypress for both UI and API testing. Integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines and establish best practices for maintainable automated test code.
  • API, Performance & Security Testing - Lead API testing initiatives by building and maintaining automated API test suites. Perform performance / load testing and collaborate with security teams or utilize security scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities early in the SDLC.
  • CI / CD & DevOps Collaboration - Work with DevOps engineers to ensure seamless test integration into build pipelines, environment provisioning, and deployment processes. Advocate for a "shift-left" approach by embedding quality considerations at every stage, from development to production.
  • Continuous Improvement & Mentorship - Evaluate and recommend new QA tools, frameworks, and processes to increase efficiency and coverage. Share knowledge with team members, offering guidance on best practices and advanced testing techniques.
  • AI-Driven Quality & Productivity - Use generative-AI platforms to draft and refine test cases, regression suites, and edge-case scenarios, validating results for accuracy and completeness.

Required / Desired Experience :

  • 5+ years of professional software testing experience, including web and mobile applications in a SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with creating and executing test plans, cases, and regression suites
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks, with a focus on UI and API testing (Current Tooling : Cypress)
  • Proven track record integrating tests into CI / CD pipelines
  • Strong experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English) for articulating technical concepts across teams.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment, adjusting to shifting priorities, and collaborating proactively.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and open to mentoring others while being receptive to feedback.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development or quality tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI API) for test generation, documentation, or code acceleration.
  • Nice to have, but not required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Aviation industry experience or related background

  • Compensation :

    The salary range for this role has been established at $90,000-$110,000 annually. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to : individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The above salary range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Travel Requirements :

  • Occasional business travel may be required, up to 10%.
