Job Summary

The University of North Georgia's is seeking applications for the position of Assistant / Associate Professor beginning Fall 2026. We are seeking faculty with expertise in social studies education or structured literacy for grades 6-12. This is a 10-month, tenure-track position. Summer teaching is possible but not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• The faculty member is expected to teach specified courses, prepare course materials, provide support and guidance to students through advising, foster professional relationships with public school partners, maintain records pertinent to accreditation, and participate in collaborative meetings with faculty and leadership relative to programmatic decisions and improvements. Commitment to a collaborative curriculum development model is expected. General faculty responsibilities in the department include the following :

Teach undergraduate and / or graduate courses face-to-face, hybrid or online;
