Tax Staff Position
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our team in Dublin, California. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing strategic planning, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax preparation and client engagement, contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and exempt organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct tax planning and research to address complex tax laws and regulations.
- Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies, addressing tax-related inquiries and concerns.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of tax processes, ensuring efficient completion and adherence to guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry developments by participating in relevant educational programs.
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients using software tools such as QuickBooks and tax-specific applications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and improve service delivery.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.CPA or EA designation is preferred, or actively working toward certification.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to organize, analyze, and provide exceptional client service.Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.At least three years of recent experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation.Familiarity with QuickBooks and tax preparation software such as CCH ProSystem Fx is a plus.Strong technical proficiency and attention to detail in tax matters.
