Were looking for a Contract Psychometrician to help us adapt validated psychological assessments into simplified product-friendly questions for our client intake and profiling system.
Youll work with our product and content teams to adapt validated psychological assessments into simplified user-friendly questions that preserve construct validity and enable tag-based client profiling
Your work will directly influence how users are understood categorized and guided to the right interventions across our product ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Review validated assessments (e.g. PHQ-9 GAD-7 BFI etc.) and identify core constructs relevant for our client profiling model.
- Simplify and rephrase items into short accessible questions while maintaining construct alignment and internal consistency.
- Develop short-form versions (36 questions per domain) suitable for tagging and personalization logic.
- Collaborate with Product and Clinical teams to define response scales scoring logic and tag mappings.
- Document rationale and traceability between simplified items and original validated scales.
- Provide feedback on psychometric soundness during pilot testing and data collection phases.
- Validate the modified (shortened / product-friendly) questions against the original validated instrument to ensure fidelity.
Requirements
Masters or PhD in Psychometrics Psychology or Educational Measurement (or equivalent experience).Demonstrated experience in test construction adaptation and validation (e.g. reliability construct validity).Strong grasp of psychological constructs like motivation emotion regulation and wellbeing.Ability to simplify complex assessments for lay audiences without losing validity.Excellent written communication and clear documentation skills.Employment Type : Contract
