Facility Type : Critical Access Hospital, Level IV Trauma Center (25 beds)

Unit : OB / Labor & Delivery (L&D) – 7010

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract (option to extend)

Start Date : December 8, 2025

Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 00)

Total Hours : 36 hours / week

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 (may flex to 1 : 5)

Scrubs : Any color (not provided)

EMR System : Cerner

Housing : Recommendations available for travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (OB / L&D)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Washington RN license preferred

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN Intermediate certification

Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Experience managing patient ratios of 1 : 4 or 1 : 5

References : 2 years in specialty required

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the OB / L&D unit

Perform newborn assessments and provide education to new mothers

Assist with vaginal deliveries and manage LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) patients

Start and maintain IVs, administer vaccines, and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR

Float to postpartum unit as needed

Participate in block scheduling, including some weekends
