Position Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients regain mobility, improve strength, and recover from injuries or illnesses. This role requires strong communication skills, hands-on patient care experience, and a passion for rehabilitation .

Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans .
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training.
  • Monitor patient progress and report findings to the PT.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on at-home therapy techniques .
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment .
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments.
  • Adhere to healthcare regulations and safety protocols .
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .

Qualifications

  • Education : Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Certification : Active state licensure and CPR certification required.
  • Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Skills : Strong patient interaction, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities .
  • Travel Readiness : Willingness to take on travel assignments .
