Job Title : Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist (Invasive Electrophysiology)

Location : The Department of Pediatrics, Heersink School of Medicine at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Children's of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama

Job Description :

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiologist with advanced expertise in invasive electrophysiology to join our faculty. The selected candidate will work as part of a dynamic team, providing a continuum of care for children with complex cardiac arrhythmias and congenital heart conditions. Flexibility, exceptional communication skills, and dedication to collaboration and patient-centered care are essential.

Responsibilities :

• Perform and interpret invasive electrophysiology studies, including ablations and device implantations.
• Diagnose and manage pediatric patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other electrophysiological disorders.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the Heart Center to provide comprehensive care for patients with congenital heart disease.
• Engage in multidisciplinary outpatient specialty clinics and provide inpatient services.
• Educate and support patients and families on their conditions and treatment plans.
• Participate in clinical research activities that advance the field of pediatric electrophysiology and align with the division's goals.
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
