Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility, located in Bellingham, WA 98225 . This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties :

• Rooming patients : taking vitals, updating medical history, and preparing for provider visit
• Assisting providers during exams and minor procedures
• Administering medications and injections as directed
• Performing point-of-care testing (e.g., blood glucose, rapid strep)
• Managing patient flow and scheduling follow-ups
• Documenting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Handling phone calls and prescription refills
• Maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms
• Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Must-Have Qualifications / Experience :
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Proficiency in EHR systems
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Current CPR / BLS certification
• Preferred Skills / Attributes :
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with insurance processes and prior authorizations
