Opportunity :

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details :

Work 8.5-hour shifts from 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 00 PM

Maintain 1 : 2 patient ratio, may increase to 1 : 4 during overflow situations

Call requirement every 3rd weekend, usually on volunteer basis (7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM)

Holiday coverage is part of call schedule

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Previous travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)

Dress code : Royal blue scrubs

8-hour orientation provided

Must maintain Louisiana or Compact nursing license

Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Work with Epic charting system

Emergency team assignment possible during hurricane season (June 1 - November 30)

Must be over 65 miles from facility address (local travelers not accepted)

No call-ins permitted

NURSYS report required with profile
