Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will manage 18-22 patients for one physician daily, conducting full workups that include gathering previous medical history, performing manual vitals, blood draws, and medication reconciliation. This role requires hands-on experience with both straight needle and butterfly blood draws, and drawing on elderly patients is advantageous as the patient demographic is primarily 55+ with a focus on the underserved population.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full patient workups including obtaining previous medical history and manual vitals.
• Perform blood draws using both straight needle and butterfly techniques.
• Reconcile medications for patients.
• Work primarily with a patient demographic of 55+ in underserved communities.

Work Environment

The work schedule is either 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM or 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The Medical Assistant will room 18-22 patients daily, with appointments scheduled at 30-minute intervals. The environment focuses on providing care to the underserved population, predominantly the elderly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
