Summary :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing a diverse range of routine and advanced imaging procedures. You'll support your colleagues in imaging and ensure efficient patient flow. With a commitment to flexibility, you will be expected to work various shifts and at different campuses as necessary. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential for basic maintenance, quality assurance, and resolving image processing and archiving issues. Participation in ongoing education and adherence to safety and technical advancements within your licensure scope is expected. You will uphold the highest standards for radiological safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals, maintaining accurate daily logs, and conducting periodic tests as required by your license. - Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and care standards set by State and Federal agencies and the hospital.
- Perform necessary examinations / procedures to assist with patient throughput within your licensed and certified capabilities.
- Show flexibility in working shifts and locations as required.
- Ensure that completed exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS.
- Act as a PACS Superuser by following downtime procedures and escalating issues to the PACS administrator when required.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the Director / Manager and / or Biomedical personnel while ensuring follow-up.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an equivalent program.Experience
Preferred : 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting.Basic computer skills are required.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB is required.State Licensure : Texas MRT by TMB. Louisiana LRT (N) or (F) by LSRTBE. New Mexico NMT by MIRTP NMED.BLS certification is required.Work Schedule : PRN
