Project Development Manager

Piper Maddox are partnered with a growing renewable energy consulting business who partner with the largest and most successful IPPs in the USA. We are actively searching for a Project Development Manager in the Phoenix, Arizona area to support the growth of a new office. Responsibilities include :

• Lead development efforts for utility-scale solar and storage projects from greenfield through NTP
• Oversee permitting, environmental compliance (NEPA, CEQA, etc.), and local / state / federal approvals
• Manage landowner lease negotiations, site due diligence, and interconnection coordination
• Support BLM and agency processes, including Plan of Development submissions and revisions
• Coordinate external consultants for surveying, geotech, environmental, and civil design work
• Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones to ensure development objectives are met
• Represent the company in stakeholder meetings with landowners, community officials, and regulators
• Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and contract negotiations
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing on development best practices
