With over 100 clinics in Northern Michigan, you can choose your specialty of care : Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Heart & Vascular, Oncology Services, Surgical Services, Orthopedics, Urology, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Behavioral Medicine, Quality and Medical Specialties : Sleep Medicine, Wound Care, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Occupational Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology & Rheumatology. High school graduate or GED equivalent is required. Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program. Credentialed : Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). High school graduate or GED equivalent is required. Three years (3) working as a Medical Assistant or similar healthcare related role preferred. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in basic clinical competencies. BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained. What you will do as a Medical Assistant :
As a clinical professional, you assist Physicians & Advanced Practice Providers in Clinics and Physican Offices. Medical Assistants prepare patients for visits by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, prepping for exams, assisting with medical procedures, blood draws, vaccinations, and injections. Medical Assistants will also assist with patient scheduling, referrals, insurance, pre-authorizations and billing.
