Job description

Position Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vascular Biller and Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in EMR systems, and experience with clearinghouse processes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate coding, timely billing, and optimal reimbursement for vascular services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately review and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for vascular and endovascular procedures.
  • Submit and track claims through electronic clearinghouses including Waystar and PayerPath, ensuring prompt resolution of denials and rejections.
  • Utilize HST and Allscripts EMR systems to extract and validate clinical documentation for coding accuracy.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to resolve coding discrepancies and maintain compliance.
  • Conduct audits and generate billing / coding reports to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and payer-specific guidelines and regulations.
  • Remain current with vascular coding guidelines, industry changes, and payer updates.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in analytics and revenue cycle data interpretation.
  • Proficiency with HST and Allscripts EMR systems required.
  • Demonstrated clearinghouse experience (submissions, rejections, resubmissions).
  • Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of vascular terminology, procedures, and coding guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco / Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco / Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
