Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry / Step-Down position requiring a MO or compact RN license, ACLS / BLS certification, and EPIC experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position based in a short-term acute care, Magnet & teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation
  • Work within a Telemetry / Step-Down unit caring for cardiac and post-acute patients
  • Typical patient ratio is 1 : 4-5
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available, night shift (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Every other weekend is required
  • No on-call duties
  • Floating required within hospital and possibly to affiliate hospitals nearby
  • Uses EPIC as the charting system, EPIC experience required
  • Must be able to complete and pass fit testing (facial hair requirements apply)
  • Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract, with no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
  • Orientation modules must be completed prior to start
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Night shift parking is free; day / night rotation requires a monthly parking fee
  • Return staff policy requires a 3-month break after 18 months for standard travelers
  • Completion of professional references and recent skills checklist required for consideration

  • Active MO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry / Step-Down nursing experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Experience with EKG monitoring and cardiac drips required
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • No local candidates within a 75 mile radius
  • No permanent employment in the health system within the past year
