Medical Assistant - Surgical Specialists

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific Competencies :

• Admits patients to the clinic bay and assists the physician and / or nurse to provide physical care for the patient before, during, and after examinations and procedures.
• Performs routine clerical activities required for efficient operation of the ambulatory clinic.
• Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.
• Appropriately utilizes facility communication and information systems and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works in heated and air-conditioned area; may be exposed to infectious material and contagious conditions including exposure to patient body fluids, including blood and contaminated sharps; potential for exposure to hazardous disinfecting chemicals; must follow universal precautions and utilize personal protective equipment.

BENEFITS

Pay Range : $16.27 - $19.93 per hour
