Our goal is to be the best place to work, learn and contribute, and to provide exceptional experiences for our patients and consumers.
About the team
Our Informatics team leads innovation across EMR, Business Intelligence, Health Information Services, and Archives. We’re proud to be part of the Parkville EMR, a world‑class system shared by The Women’s, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and The Royal Children’s Hospital—supporting seamless, high‑quality care for Victorians. Partnering with Epic, our EMR connects 18,000+ clinicians and staff, and our team works collaboratively to deliver smarter workflows and better outcomes for patients and staff.
About the role
As the Chief Midwifery & Nursing Information Officer (CMNIO) you will provide senior clinical leadership in digital health, ensuring midwifery and nursing perspectives are embedded in the design and delivery of safe, effective, and person‑centred care through the Epic EMR and related technologies. You will lead clinical engagement, change management, and training to support EMR adoption and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Chief Nursing & Midwifery Officer, Director of Informatics, CXIOs, and precinct partners, the CMNIO aligns digital health initiatives with strategic and operational priorities. The role also holds operational responsibility for the local EMR team and may be delegated to act as Director of Informatics when required, ensuring continuity in leadership, governance, and strategic oversight.
