  • Abstract any other clinical information from medical records.
  • Maintain standard industry productivity rates (minimum 8 to 10 charts / hour) Demonstrate ability to maintain high quality standards of 95% or greater.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology (Encoder, MS Office) to perform responsibilities.
  • Follow client specific guidelines wherever applicable & working as per client updates and coding the charts accordingly.

    • Essential Responsibilities :

  • Communicates with department manager or client on coding, compliance, and documentation issues Seeks clarification from healthcare providers or other designated resources to ensure accurate and complete coding.
  • Enhances coding knowledge and skills with continuing education activities and by reviewing pertinent literature.
  • Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Follows guidelines for each project as set by the client.

    • Required Skills :

  • CPC, COC, CCS or CIC certification with minimum 2 years’ experience in professional fee (E / M) coding and / or hospital outpatient coding.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have thorough knowledge of medical anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • Official Coding Guidelines for ICD-10-CM for correct and accurate coding.
  • EPIC training a plus!

    • Specialties include GI, anesthesia, wound care, pediatrics, radiology, and general surgery.  Employment Type Full-time Salary :

  • $25.00 - $28.00 / hour depending on experience.

    • This position is eligible for full health insurance including medical / dental / vision, PTO, and a 401k match!

  • A Coding Assessment Test will be administered before initial pre-screen.
  • Must be a US resident and reside in one of the following states :
  • Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.    Travel Requirements : Fully remote / home-based office   Powered by JazzHR
