Physician - Psychiatry (Child and Adolescent)

The University of Kansas Health System Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a full- time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing team on the Marillac Campus in Overland Park Kansas. The ideal candidate will deliver comprehensive evaluation and treatment for children adolescents and families across a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral needs including outpatient clinic care inpatient coverage and participation in shared weekend call.

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluation diagnosis and evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents.

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists therapists nurses and social workers to deliver coordinated care.

Participate in supervision teaching and mentorship of medical students residents and fellows.

Contribute to departmental initiatives that support quality improvement innovation and access to care.

Optional involvement in research or program development based on candidate interests.

Required Qualifications

MD or DO degree

Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri

Demonstrated commitment to compassionate patient-centered care and interdisciplinary collaboration
