About the Clinician's Workday

The position is for a general anesthesiologist in a Brooklyn community hospital, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Overnight beeper call may be required. The role involves work in main operating rooms, an endoscopy suite, and an interventional radiology unit, with no pediatric, obstetric, cardiac, or neurosurgical cases. Typical case types include general surgery (e.g., hernia repairs, bariatric surgeries, cholecystectomies), as well as urology, gynecology, and orthopedics, averaging 3-4 anesthetics per day, with more when assigned to endoscopy.
