PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
This is responsible administrative work in supervising and coordinating specific projects within and in conjunction with City departments state and federal grants and outside contractors.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a Project Director with considerable latitude for exercising independent judgment. Work is reviewed through conferences and reports.
This particular assignment is within the Department of Police Services and per MOU supports grant and other business administration for the Police Activity League of New Haven (PAL).

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a four-year college or university with course work in economics public administration business development city planning or a related field; and 3 to 5 years of experience with a public or private organization in project management; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the following knowledge skills and abilities :

This is a General Fund Tested position.
This position is included in a collective bargaining agreement with Local 3144 American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees .

General Funded hires into this class are not covered by Social Security and will not pay Social Security taxes. They instead participate in the City Pension; the employee contribution rate is 10% of pay.

Selection Plan
