Material Handlers

STS Technical Services is hiring Material Handlers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with a background in mechanical and pneumatic tools, shipping and receiving, and general warehouse operations. Position Summary : As a Material Handler, you will support the fabrication and assembly of Ultra products by preparing raw materials, building shipping skids, and operating forklifts. You will also contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by following inventory procedures and supporting general shop operations. Key Responsibilities : Operate forklifts and build skids for outgoing shipments Support shipping and receiving functions Use power tools including drills, saws, and routers Mark dimensions and prepare materials for assembly Maintain appropriate stock of common parts and hardware Inspect and measure parts for quality control Follow shop math principles to ensure fabrication accuracy Support teamwork across departments and share ideas for process improvement Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times Wear appropriate PPE and report safety concerns Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer knowledge and mechanical aptitude Proficient in reading blueprints and engineered drawings Skilled in using tape measures, calipers, wrenches, and hand tools Familiarity with safety practices and PPE usage Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Shipping and receiving experience preferred Physical Requirements : Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance Visual ability for close, distance, and peripheral focus Comfortable working in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment Work Environment : Exposure to power tools, fumes, and chemicals Moderate responsibility for materials and equipment Emphasis on safety to protect self and coworkers About STS Technical Services : STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with the largest names in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
