About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Tax to lead and manage its tax function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and strategy, and must ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role demands a deep understanding of tax laws and the ability to apply them to various business scenarios. The Vice President of Tax will also be expected to provide leadership and guidance in tax matters, develop and implement strategic tax planning, manage tax risk, and lead audits and inquiries by taxation authorities. Additionally, the role involves providing internal tax advisory services, supporting business transactions, and leading the tax team to optimize performance. Applicants for the Vice President of Tax position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an advanced degree in taxation or law preferred. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a tax managerial role within the finance industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research, as well as experience with various tax operations such as income, sales, and property tax. Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is proficiency in tax software and MS Office.
